The Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle (S.P.V.) is Spectrum's most remarkable and vital piece of hardware.

Tank-like in construction, the S.P.V. is heavily armed and can reach speeds in excess of 200m.p.h. Over difficult ground the rear caterpillar tracks can be deployed for extra traction.

Access to the S.P.V. is gained though two hatches which open outwards on hydraulic ramps. Once in position, the driver is seated backwards and operates the vehicle using a television monitor.

For deep space recognisance extra propulsion may be required. This is provided by the use of booster rockets anchored to the topside main frame.

Near to Moonbase Alpha itlsef, Lasr tanks are used in surface surveillance and defence while small two man Moon Buggies transport Alpah personnel over short distances on the Moon surface.
